Every 2nd and 4th Sunday my family gets together at my parents home for a family dinner. However, my parents went on a road trip for most of the month of June. So, I hosted family dinner at my home. I really enjoy doing this and love having them over. Here are a few fun shots from one of the nights everyone was over.
I tried out a new recipe for a flourless chocolate cake. I still have some kinks to work out but it was rich and yummy.
I also made these banana bunt cakes with white chocolate ships. Another new recipe but very tasty!
Some fun shots of the family getting ready and enjoying dinner, lasagna.
My niece Evelyn just turned a year old and is learning to walk. She may have it down by now???
I love having a special table and chairs just for the children to sit at and enjoy their dinner {for the few moments they sit and take a couple bites}. This also allows the adults a more pleasant meal. =)
After dinner we played a game. a fun past time that we do not get to engage in too often anymore. The adults played Clue while some of the children played Guess Who. I love the picture above with Kimble and McKay. It is great to see them spending time with their cousins and creating memories.
Overall it was a great night, good food and wonderful company!
