Children's Art Show 2010

I had a brilliant idea to put on a children's art show in my center at work. After the children went back to school in August, I began collecting art work for the show. I also rounded up a ton of picture frames, some donated, some purchased a thrift stores. I painted each one white or black to tie them all together. On February 27th, I cleared out my center and turned it into a museum of art. Each room had a different theme including a movie room that showcased performing arts. Every child was represent with several art pieces out of a variety of media. This video is a little taste of the Children's Art Show.

I did not do this alone by any means! Many people helped along the way and I want to thank all of those who did. This includes everyone who donated frames, those who helped paint them, the beautiful quilt my mother helped me sew, family who loaned me dishes for refreshments and my wonderful mother, sister and brother who came helped set-up late into the night. A special thanks to Jill, it would not have been possible without her! (I said brilliant idea earlier because Jill told me I am NOT allowed to have any more ideas! :-) LOL)
